Statistics Trainings

We offer both introductory statistics trainings as well as advanced courses on multivariate data analysis. They create a solid basis for efficient data analysis and provide you with an overview of common and well-established statistical procedures.

  • Fundamental Statistics: The intense 5-day training “Descriptive and Inductive Statistics” focuses intensely on the fundamentals of statistical data analysis and probability theory and its application for the analysis of samples or surveys. We also offer two separate 3-day trainings which focus either on descriptive statistics (training "Descriptive Statistics") or inferential analysis (training "Inferential Statistics for Probability Analysis and Testing").
  • Multivariate Statistics: Regression analysis, ANOVA, and time series analysis are also examples for multivariate statistics but the two trainings "Multivariate Analysis I" and "Multivariate Analysis II" provides you with more statistical procedures than the general linear model. You can equally resort to clustering, exploratory factor analysis or discriminant analysis for advanced insight into your experimental / production data or data gathered in questionnaires and surveys.

Advanced Statistics Trainings

Engineering Statistics

We created various statistics trainings which teach engineers, scientists like physicists or chemists but also students working as testers in the lab or in quality assurance how to apply statistical thinking in their daily work.

  • Fundamentals: As a beginner or as a refresher course, you can learn the basics of descriptive and esp. inductive statistics plus the basics of DOE and SPC in our 5-day training “Engineering Statistics”.
  • Design of Experiments (DOE): Experiments are a standard technique in R&D and thus in products and process design. As gathering experimental data can become expensive with a growing number of factors and a substantial sample size it is imperative to apply the principles of designed experiments and the correct statistical analysis. We teach you these principles and the well-established statistical procedures in our training “Design and Analysis of Experiments”.
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC): Modern production processes must be of high quality, must meet with various requirements and be carried out in nearly absolute control. In order to achieve these high standards you can make use of the philosophy and techniques provided by statistical process and quality control which we present in our training “Statistical Quality Control”.

Regression Analysis

Regression analysis is a fundamental procedure which is heavily used in many data analysis scenarios and which comes in many flavors to cater all your analytical needs.

  • Regression Analysis: Linear and non-linear regression analysis can be used in order to create statistical models for numerical prediction and inter/extrapolation of data. The overview training “Regression Analysis using R” shows you how to use standard and more advanced techniques in order to define statistical models based upon regression.
  • Time Series Analysis: The analysis of temporal data is a subtype of regression analysis with special models using (non)linear regression but also ARIMA (AutoRegressive Integrated Moving Average) techniques. Our training "Time Series Analysis" assists you in dealing with time-related data, their smoothing and description, and forecasting.
  • Structural Equation Modeling: SEM is a combination of factorial analysis and complex regression analysis, which can only be carried out by selected statistical packages and is helpful in analyzing latent factors and complex relationships between variables. Our training “Structural Equation Modeling” teaches you the principles of SEM and shows you how to make practical use of this tool.
